The “Barn" denim:
13oz STF selvedege denim from the White Oak Mill. Woven on the original Draper looms that the classic Levi's, Lee and Wrangler denims made.
This denim was an experimental development for LVC, circa 2005, and for unknown reason, never used. Instead, it was stored by one of LVC's sewing contractors in N.C., and with the help of Victor from Raleigh Denim, eventually sold to ROY, and by that, to Tilden.
A deep indigo shade has a greenish-brown quality by virtue of a "tea stain" yarn dye on the white weft yarns. This denim starts out looking quite conservative in slub character, but with wear will have incredible vintage fades featuring a slub yarn combination classically 40's/50's White Oak. Red Line selvedge.
STF denim shrinkage is less than loomstate, but still significant. Expect 2-2.5 inch in leg and 1-1.5 in waist.
